Bronchiectasis is a long-term lung condition. The airways of the lungs become widened which leads to a build-up of excess mucus.
As a result, the airways of the lungs become a lot more vulnerable to infection.
The most common symptoms include:
- A persistent cough usually bringing up sputum / plegm
- Spitting out or coughing up blood
